Mediocre or Elle-evated?
I looked up one day and I was walking down a unfamiliar street in an unfamiliar city and I kept thinking how did I get here. You see the thing about being homeless is that you hate to see the sun rise or set because in the morning you are searching for food and your next fix and at night you are searching for shelter.
The biggest issue with being stuck is that we walk around as if we are not. Before my addiction had taken over my life completely I believed that I was moving forward. It never occurred to me that each year I was downsizing in every area of my life.
For you being stuck may be subtle, maybe you just take the same route to work each day, or having the same relationship issues. You may be challenged with losing the same 20 pounds (or more) year after year. The family vacation to the time-share summer after summer may be killing you softly. Whatever kind of stuck you’re in, being stuck is still being sucks!
The problem with being stuck is that is does not allow you to live a limitless life. Stuck = Mediocre.
The goal of living an elle-evated life is to rise above mediocre living.
So, what exactly is mediocre living?
Here are some examples:
- Taking high blood pressure pills instead of changing your diet and exercise programs
- Smoking or allowing your significant other to smoke to manage stress
- Creating Debt
- Staying in a relationship that is unfulfilling
- Yo-Yo dieting
To eliminate being stuck you need to begin by making elle-evated choices daily. This will break the pattern of you being stuck, which will in turn help you rise above mediocre living.
Elle-evated Action:
Take one action to break your normal routine. This will help you to adjust to change in small ways and over time that will make a big difference. For example: Listen to a different radio station on your way to work for 10 minutes.
Being stuck does not have to be your reality…. Elle-evate!
