Where are you…now?
Where are you in this very moment? That seems like an easy question with an even easier answer. You are somewhere in front of some version of a computer reading this sentence.
But where are you?
Being in front of a computer has become so second nature to us that we can “be” in front of it without even really being present.
Your eyes may be in front of it, and your body may be in front of it but YOU are probably inside some situation that lives in the past or the future.
WealthDo You Hear What I Hear?
At some point in most of our childhoods we played a whispering game. You know the one, where all the kids stood or sat in a circle and whispered a statement from one kid to the next. Usually this statement came from the teacher and by the time it reached the last student in a group of 25 or 30, the statement was nothing like it was when the teacher originally said it.
“What happened?” Many of the kids wondered.
“Who messed the whole thing up?”
Hmmmm? I suspect we will never know. But the funny thing is that as adults, many still haven’t learned from that simple exercise above.
WealthThe End of An Era
“How did I get here?”
Have you ever found yourself saying that? You retrace your steps and wonder how you landed in your current situation.
Well, I have the answer. It started with one thought, which led to another thought and eventually planted you into today.
WealthYour Wealth Workout
Imagine what you could accomplish if you could simply get yourself to follow through on your best intentions no matter what. Picture yourself saying, “I am debt-free.” Without self-discipline your intention will never become your reality. But with sufficient self-discipline, it’s a done deal. The pinnacle of self-discipline is when you reach the point that when you make a conscious decision it’s virtually guaranteed you’ll follow through on it.
WealthMediocre or Elle-evated?
I looked up one day and I was walking down a unfamiliar street in an unfamiliar city and I kept thinking how did I get here. You see the thing about being homeless is that you hate to see the sun rise or set because in the morning you are searching for food and your next fix and at night you are searching for shelter.
