Where are you…now?
Where are you in this very moment? That seems like an easy question with an even easier answer. You are somewhere in front of some version of a computer reading this sentence.
But where are you?
Being in front of a computer has become so second nature to us that we can “be” in front of it without even really being present.
Your eyes may be in front of it, and your body may be in front of it but YOU are probably inside some situation that lives in the past or the future.
Daily Words
Back in the late 70’s and early 80’s Eunice didn’t take no B.S. She was a hard working single parent living in the heart of the hood. She wasn’t the party having, gun-carrying kind of tough. With all of the poor quality of living that was typical of such a neighborhood, it was her discipline that made her tough.
Let me show you what I mean:
The Little Girl who Guides Me
Directly in front of my bed there is a photo of a little girl who guides my actions for the day. She is the first thing that I see when I open my eyes. She is smiling and sitting in what looks like the best pose for possibility.
Her outfit is very modest, but her smile is rich with ideas and energy. Most days, I want to pick her up and play “ring around the rosie.”
